I took these photos at the 14th annual South River antique bottle show held February 1, 2009 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in South River, NJ. In addition, I was the show chairman and at the time was chairing 3 shows a year; South River, Batsto & Millville. Give that a try sometimes.
Bob Anderson's Stock
Bob Anderson is a long time club supporter. Bob manages and owns Uhlerstown Pottery. Here's an example of some banks, jars and face jugs he has made for sale. The large devil face jug was made on 10/27/99 by Charles Brown of the Brown Pottery in Alden, NC. The blue streaking at the top of his head is the result of powdered glass that added before firing. During firing the glass powder melts and becomes part of the glaze.
