I took these photos at the 14th annual South River antique bottle show held February 1, 2009 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in South River, NJ. In addition, I was the show chairman and at the time was chairing 3 shows a year; South River, Batsto & Millville. Give that a try sometimes.
SLS Brookfield Slag Specimen
Billy Neug brought this very interesting piece of slag glass that was dug in the 1970's by Barry Kenner at the Brookfield insulator dump in Sayreville, NJ. As you can see in the photo there is a large piece of an SLS Staten Island, NY blob top melted into a piece of aqua slag that was destined to become a Brookfield insulator.
