13th New York 1999-2001
Throughout 1999-2001 Jim and Ernest Bower dug at a property just North of Fredricksburg, VA called Ewalt's Farm where the guys secured prmission. There was a shed on the property full of confiscated metal detectors. These farmers don't like detectorists and they don't like Yankees even more! Here's Jim digging in a soldier's hut from the 13th New York. Notice how orderly the one man operation is. Rocks in one pile, sod in another, searched dirt and sorted metal have their own piles also and of course the Nautilus metal detector crowns the entire scene. Yes as you can tell this is no place for amateurs.
