The Winter Show, held at the Park Avenue Armory, 67th Street and Park Avenue, benefits the East Side House which is a community-based organization in the South Bronx. The Show opened to membership on Thursday Evening on January 17, 2019 and over 2000 people attended the opening night which is by invitation only. The Show opened to the public on January 18 and closed January 27. This was the show's 65th or Sapphire Anniversary. Admission was $25 which included a comprehensive show catalog with a listing of dealers and their contact information. A special exhibit was included: Connecting the World: 125 Years of Collecting on Nantucket that was sponsored, set up and manned by the Nantucket Historical Society.

The Adirondack Canoe
For sale by an art gallery. I was informed that this water color was in the same family's home for 90 years. Thankfully it was kept out of direct sunlight and the colors remained stunningly strong. The asking price was 2.4 million US dollars. I thought it was a bargain for something so fresh to the market. I wonder what today's price is?
