I've always been fascinated by early American medicine bottles, the older, cruder and rarer, the better. I began collecting antique bottles in 1972 but did not acquire my first colored pontil example until 1991. That bottle was a beautiful Kimball's Jaundice Bitters, Troy, NH and I purchased it from the Rose Sale auction that was held by Harmer Rooke Galleries on 57th Street in New York City.

Loomis' Cream Liniment OP

I dug this beautiful example of a Loomis' Cream Liniment in Jersey City about 2000 with Ernest Bower and Chris Malerba. It was discarded in a large square wood lined privy that contained many whole bottles including a half dozen colored pontil soda bottles from New York City, free blown fruit and storage jars and a about 5 small sized iron pontil Udolphowolfe's Schnapps.
