Oil on canvas, 20 1/8 x 24¼ inches. Offered at Christie's sale March 10, 1989 as Lot 294, Estimate $40,000-60,000. 'The artist was drawn to Gloucester each summer between 1914 and 1918. Sally and Paul depicts the artist's next door neighbor, Sally Stanton and Paul, a neighborhood cat. Both subjects appear in numerous Sloan paintings from this period.'
