This album is a compilation of images of New Jersey script jugs, most of which were produced by the Fulper Pottery in Flemington, NJ and they were mostly made to be a re-usable container for cider vinegar which was filled at your local general store. There was a deposit on the container and the store or merchant's name was written in cobalt glaze. Not all script jugs were produced at Fulper and this album also includes incised jugs.
