I've always been fascinated by early American medicine bottles, the older, cruder and rarer, the better. I began collecting antique bottles in 1972 but did not acquire my first colored pontil example until 1991. That bottle was a beautiful Kimball's Jaundice Bitters, Troy, NH and I purchased it from the Rose Sale auction that was held by Harmer Rooke Galleries on 57th Street in New York City.

I purchased this attic mint and problem free example from Eric Schmetterling many years ago. It was the only medicine bottle Eric owned at the time.
